Privacy policy

In short: this website doesn’t use cookies, advertising or tracking. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits without cookies and without identifying you. We only get personal information if you choose to email us, and we use it only to reply to you or to tell you when we launch.

1. Who we are

This website, sorlani.com (sorlani.ca redirects to it), is operated by Sorlani, a Canadian baby-care brand that is preparing to launch. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Sorlani.

2. Person in charge of personal information

Michael Oancea is responsible for protecting personal information at Sorlani. For any question, request or complaint about your personal information, write to michael@sorlani.com.

3. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us by email. That usually means your name and email address, plus anything you include in your message. If you use the retailer form, that can also include your store name, phone number, province, city, store type and website.

The forms on this site don’t send anything to us by themselves. They open your own email app with a pre-filled message, and nothing reaches us until you press send.

4. What we don’t collect

• The site doesn’t use cookies, advertising tags, social media pixels or similar tracking technologies.
• There are no accounts, payments or online orders on this site.
• Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so your browser doesn’t contact services such as Google Fonts when you visit.

5. Hosting and technical information

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it against attacks and abuse. We don’t use this information to identify you or to build profiles.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they view. It loads a small script from Cloudflare and records aggregate information such as the page visited, the referring site, the browser and device type, the country and page-load speed. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage, doesn’t follow you across other websites, and doesn’t give us information that identifies you.

6. Why we use your information

• To reply to your message or request.
• If you ask to join the list, to send you a note when Sorlani launches.
• If you are a retailer, to talk with you about carrying Sorlani.

By emailing us, you consent to these uses. We won’t use your information for any other purpose without asking you first, and we never sell or rent it.

7. Who can see it

Only our small team. We share personal information only with the service providers we use to run our email and website, which are Google (email) and Cloudflare (hosting), with professional advisers if needed, or when the law requires it.

8. Where it is stored

Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada and outside Quebec, including in the United States. When it is, it is subject to the laws of that country, and authorities there may be able to access it.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your messages only as long as we need them for the purpose you sent them for. Launch-list details are deleted once we’ve sent the launch note or as soon as you ask to be removed. Other enquiries are deleted no later than 24 months after our last exchange, unless we need to keep them longer because we’re working together or the law requires it.

10. How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to our team and using established providers with strong security.

11. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. Write to michael@sorlani.com. We will reply within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

12. Children

This site is for parents, caregivers and retailers. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we launch or if our practices change, and we will change the date at the top of this page.
